Most citizens pay taxes. And very often, they pay too much. Indeed, the complexity of taxation and its constant evolution make it an unpopular subject, and one that is, wrongly, set aside. What if it were possible for everyone, expert or novice, to determine if filing a tax return was advantageous or mandatory, to file their return online, without any tax knowledge required, regardless of the complexity of their situation, optimized in real-time, whether they are a Luxembourg resident or not? VIREO Luxembourg had the idea of implementing the first virtual tax agent in Luxembourg, enabling individuals to complete and optimize their tax returns. In order to improve the competitiveness of businesses in human resources, My Tax is offered as a salary benefit to employees.

The platform's objective:  

Provide a tool that can: 

  • Allowing businesses to provide benefits to their employees  
  • Ensure tax procedures are completed quickly and easily 
  • Provide complete and understandable reports to users  
  • Make business rule modifications accessible to the administrator 

Our achievement:  

After a long phase of analysis and diagnosis of Vireo's needs, the project went through several development phases:  

  1. Definition and implementation of the project architecture 
  2. Backend Development for Vireo (Administrator) 
  3. User Management
    1. Form Management 
    2. Business rule management, via a TP-designed engine for managing tax calculations, the decision tree for questions to ask the user, and the rules governing the user experience. 
    3. Development of a front-end for individuals using back-end defined information (user) 
  4. Dynamic form display
    1. Receiving and Storing Responses 
    2. Generation of official documents in PDF format 
  5. Deployment, and support, during the testing and go-live phases 
  6. Client support for security and GDPR audit phases
