The objective of the solution:
The solution's objective for users:
- To secure the submission of forms following user behavioral analysis,
- User experience optimization,
- ReCAPTCHA solution accessible to citizens with disabilities.
The objective of the solution for the government:
- To detect the presence of bots on government forms,
- To no longer be dependent on external providers (Google, ...)
- To respect GDPR standards by securing internet users' data.
Our achievement:
The project has gone through several development phases:
- Analysis and definition of the solution
- Analysis and identification of robot behavior,
- Development of bot detection system,
- Confidence score establishment,
- Development of the authentication tool,
- POC presentation and validation at the GovTech Lab,
- Full solution development,
- Setting up test and production environments on GovCloud
- Tests on a staging environment,
- Final project version deployment.
Customer testimonial:
During our first «Bye Bye Robots» solutions call, Technology Partner convinced our jury from the presentation of the solution concept through to the demo day. The proposed solution was innovative in its approach of not displaying «captchas» unless there was doubt, which prevents the average user from having to solve unnecessary «captchas.».
The solution based on a human behavior analysis algorithm allows us to secure form submissions and thus ensure that our servers will not be solicited by data submissions generated by computer bots. During the pilot phase, Technology Partner advised us on the aspects to consider for bot identification.
These tips helped strengthen the algorithm to make it more robust. Technology Partners« expertise in robotic process automation allowed them to implement adequate mechanisms for detecting software robot data submissions.
The solution was implemented through several agile iterations, which allowed us to refine the solution as we progressed. The Technology Partner team demonstrated flexibility to best support us during the implementation. As this was our first innovation partnership, the process still required some adjustments. The Technology Partner team was very understanding and, in this regard, also allowed us to improve our process so that future calls for solutions could benefit from it. Luis Carvalho, GovTech Lab
